Hello, my name is Waleed El-Geresy. Welcome to my site. This is a space where I share some of my writing on things I am thinking about. I reflect a lot on myself, on the mind, and on the world beyond. My writing helps me feel as though I am on the way to understanding these things better. I hope it can be of the same help to you. This is my blog and a snapshot of my journey in understanding the world around me and the human condition through poetry and prose, logical thought, and writing.
Human beings are – to my knowledge – the most complex and multifaceted objects in the known universe, and understanding our own minds – the self – is therefore a key step in understanding the world. People have been trying to do this since time began – wittingly or unwittingly – and this is my own humble venture. I try to be as thoughtful as possible and try to look at things at as deep a level as I am capable, taking into account a variety of perspectives in all my writing. I hope you enjoy reading my posts.
This blog was originally set up for me to write about strange and wonderful links I come across, cool ways of thinking about things and other things I found confusing or interesting (they seem to be one and the same).
I say that magic is real, but only when things are mysterious; so perhaps it is better that some questions are left unanswered.
